Dr Ben Weber
Sport & Exercise Medicine Registrar
Dr Ben Weber is a Sport and Exercise Medicine registrar. He completed his medical degree with Honours at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney, and holds a graduate diploma in anatomy by dissection from the University of New England.
Ben works as a doctor for the Sydney Swans and is the club doctor for the Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club. He also works for the NSW Institute of Sport as a consultant doctor. He has experience working as an independent doctor in the Super Rugby competition and has worked for a number of football clubs in the A-League competition. He has also worked as an expedition doctor on the Kokoda Track.
Ben works as a surgical assistant for several orthopaedic surgeons across Sydney. He previously worked as an orthopaedic registrar in the NSW public hospital system.
Ben has recently published research in the British Journal of Sports Medicine on managing AFL player mental health. He has also published work on the benefits of exercise for the Australian Doctor.
Ben sees patients and athletes of all ages, sporting interests and abilities. His own sporting interests are many and varied, though he is most passionate about golf.
