Dr Ben Weber
Sport & Exercise Medicine Registrar
Dr Ben Weber is a Sport and Exercise Medicine registrar. He completed his medical degree with Honours at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney, and holds a graduate diploma in anatomy by dissection from the University of New England.
Ben is the team doctor for the NSW Waratahs and NSW Swifts. He has worked for the Australian Swimming Team at the 2024 World Aquatic Championships in Doha. In recent years he has worked for the Sydney Swans and Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club. He has also previously had experiencing working for a number of A-League football teams during the COVID pandemic and has been an expedition doctor on the Kokoda Track.
Ben works as a surgical assistant for several orthopaedic surgeons across Sydney. He previously worked as an orthopaedic registrar in the NSW public hospital system.
Ben has recently published research in the British Journal of Sports Medicine on managing AFL player mental health. He has also published work on the benefits of exercise for the Australian Doctor.
Ben sees patients and athletes of all ages, sporting interests and abilities. His own sporting interests are many and varied, though he is most passionate about golf.
