Dr Jason Lam
Sport & Exercise Medicine Registrar
Dr Jason Lam has over a decade of experience working in the performing arts space at an elite level. He was formerly a professional dancer with Sydney Dance Company, Tasdance, Opera Australia as well as performing as an independent artist before retiring and studying medicine. He has also taught at Company level and general public at Sydney Dance Company Open Classes for many years and also at local ballet schools around Australia from children to adults.
He is the Crichton Dance Medicine Fellow at the Australian Ballet and holds a Masters in Sports Medicine, a Diploma of Child Health and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. He is actively involved in medical education and research and has presented and published widely around dance medicine, hand injury, medical education and chronic pain. He is undertaking further specialisation in Sport and Exercise Medicine with the Australian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.
He passionate about providing expert, comprehensive care to performers and works closely with physios and allied health to keep performers healthy and at their best.
